Bachelor of Music Theatre students take to the kitchen to raise funds

Bachelor of Music Theatre (BMT) students are working hard at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music to launch into the music entertainment industry and recently they’ve been in the kitchen to raise funds for their BMT Club.

PhotoID:3436 The club aims to raise funds to support the various finishing touches required to launch students into the industry after completion of studies.

Such things might include photo shoots, business cards and other accessories involved in getting a portfolio together.

The club is also sourcing and paying for extra workshops and master classes to gain further experience and knowledge.

Another objective is to support social functions and movie nights for club members to enjoy.

Cilla Slack, president of the BMT Club, says the cooking is becoming a regular activity.

“We’re selling home made goodies every Monday from 3.30pm in the Con Foyer so come on down for some morning tea!” she said.

PhotoID:3437 Cilla’s cheesecake is rumoured to be worth getting in early for, as is Paul Tabone’s infamous chocolate cake.

For more information on the Club, please contact Cilla Slack on cillaslack@hotmail.com .
