School musicians can jam with the best

CQUniversity's Jammin' program enables school musicians from the Cairns, Rockhampton and Mackay regions to play with university-level performers and staff from the Bachelor of Music degree.

An initiative of our Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Jammin' enables participants to have an intensive and inspirational music making experience.

Each program includes three days of tuition in jazz and contemporary music, followed by a concert to showcase emerging talents.

Jammin' has been operating in Mackay since 2006 and Cairns since 2008, with Rockhampton being added in 2010.

This year, Cairns Jammin' was held in August, with Rockhampton following on (September 18-20) and Mackay (September 22-24).
