Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Session focuses on productive diversity 

CQU Rockhampton staff members are invited to attend an information session on productive diversity on Monday August 18 from 10 to 11am.

Manager of Community Outcomes, Multicultural Affairs Queensland, will be the keynote speaker at the function to be staged at the State Development Centre Level 1, Bolsover Street, Rockhampton.

The session will provide an overview of the Queensland Government's approach to productive diversity and will explore ways in which Central Queensland can benefit economically from the diverse cultural backgrounds and experience of its citizens.
