CQU Mackay Library Society's second-hand book sale

The CQU Library Society’s annual second-hand book sale will be held on September 12-13 at The Refectory, CQU Mackay, Boundary Road, Planlands.

The sale will be held between 9.30am-3.30pm on the Sunday and 9am-2pm on the Monday.

PhotoID:1594 Mackay Campus Library Manager Ms Jacky Cribb said the book sale included close to 10 000 items donated by the public and various libraries. "There are all kinds of books, including children’s books and collectors items, as well as magazines, sheet music, encyclopaedias and records," she said.

Prices are very attractive, ranging from 10 cents to $25.

“The book sale is one of the biggest fundraisers for the CQU Mackay Library Society, and in the past we have been very well supported by the public,” Ms Cribb said.

Library Society president Bill McWhinney said the Library Society had been conducting book sales over the past decade to assist and support the Mackay Campus Library and to promote the enjoyment of books.
