Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Prof. Fagg farewell scheduled 

The University community is invited to wish Professor Kevin Fagg farewell at 3.30pm on Tuesday 6 July 2004 on the lawn outside of the Chancellery Building (Building 1, Rockhampton Campus).

Kev -- Deputy Vice Chancellor (Resources) and former Dean of the Faculty of Business & Law -- retires on 7 July. He commenced his employment here in 1967 at the then Queensland Institute of Technology, Capricornia.

“I am sure that Kev has many colleagues on all CQU Campuses who would like to raise their glasses in a toast of thanks and to wish him and Glenda a long, happy and healthy retirement,” said Vice Chancellor & President Glenice Hancock.
