Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Tertiary education specialist to address Melbourne graduates 

Tertiary education specialist Professor Vin Massaro is the guest speaker for this Friday's CQU Melbourne International Campus graduation ceremony.

PhotoID:2945 Professor Massaro is a Professorial Fellow in Higher Education at the University of Melbourne and Managing Director of Massaro Consulting, a company specialising in providing strategic advice to higher education institutions and governments.

The guest speaker has had a long-standing involvement with the tertiary education sector, including a comprehensive range of senior management positions.

A total of 249 graduates from 16 different countries will attend the ceremony from 2pm in the John Batman Theatre at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Entertainment will be provided by the String Angels ensemble.
