Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU Emerald organises Learning Festival

CQU Emerald is organising a Learning Festival to be held from 10am to 2pm at the Emerald Shire Hall on September 2.

The event will showcase hobby groups, sporting clubs, social clubs and academic institutions in order to celebrate Adult Learners Week.

The theme for the week, September 1-8, is 'promoting literacy'.

Winners of the Adult Learners Week awards will be announced at CQU Emerald, from 6pm on September 7, in conjunction with the opening of the new campus library.
