Staff and students mingle with power institute

CQUniversity engineering staff recently (March 11) joined students holding power engineering bursaries to mingle with representatives from industry and the Australian Power Institute (API).
They came together at a networking function hosted by Ergon Energy in Rockhampton.

Staff representatives included Dr Adam Thomson, Associate Professor Ken Kwong, Dr Amanullah M Than Oo and Dr Mohammad Rasul.
API representatives included Dr Adriana Bodnarova (QUT) and API Chief Executive Mike Griffin. Ergon Energy Principal Engineer Network Investigations David Gray also attended.
Earlier in the day, Mr Griffin attended a campus barbecue to promote the opportunities of power engineering careers to first-year undergraduates. The visitor also discussed the 2009 API bursary program available for students.
