Marketing an artist at CQU

A lot of effort compressed into just a few weeks by CQU lecturer Angela Dobele and CQU marketing students, provided a successful exhibition of some works by digital artist Paul Bell.

PhotoID:687 Putting theory into practice, the marketing students staged an exhibition at CQU Rockhampton that has seen six of the nine pictures sold with more sales expected.

More than 100 visitors viewed the exhibition which made the artist and Marketing Manager for a Queensland Credit Union very happy.

"...I realise a lot of work and stress was involved and I fully appreciate that while everything looks fairly calm on the surface, it takes a good deal of hard work to ensure that all goes to plan," Mr Bell said.

Other benefits from attending the exhibition included sampling the wine and cheese provided and being in the draw for two book vouchers kindly donated by McGraw-Hill. The book vouchers worth $100 were won by an undergraduate and a postgraduate student, both of whom will greatly benefit from the win.

PhotoID:688 "I think the students can be very proud of their efforts," said Ms Dobele.
