Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Photos, art and romping on Under 8s calendar 

CQU Rockhampton's early childhood students have organised a range of activities to celebrate Under 8s week.

Under the theme of 'Leap into Life - embracing health and wellbeing', they have arranged an exhibition of photographs taken by children. The exhibition is open this weekend from 10.30pm-4pm at the Early Childhood Centre in Quay Street (near the ABC studios).

PhotoID:2093 The same venue is hosting an Interactive Art Exhibition, open from 10am-3pm from Friday May 27 through to Friday June 3, including the weekend.

Early childhood students are also coordinating 'Romp in the park' from 9am-1pm on Friday, May 27.
