Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

DUR raises $330 for breast cancer research 

More than $330 was raised at Division of University Relation’s Pink Ribbon Breakfast held last Friday.

The money will go towards breast cancer research.

 Capricornia College for donating sausages and bread;.

 Student Services for supplying the barbecue; and.

 Facilities Management for delivering the barbecue, supplying chairs and tidying up the courtyard area for the breakfast.

However, it's not over yet. The division is still selling raffle tickets for $5 which will be drawn on Friday, December 15. There are some great prizes to be won including:.

 Geneve timepiece, which has a retail valued of $1995;.

 Nespresso Essenza coffee maker;.

 Riedel Pink O Stemless glassware and Riedel O Cabernet glassware; and.
