Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Wine and cheese evening launches Bike 4 Life 

Around $1000 has been raised by guests attending a wine and cheese evening launch of the annual Bike 4 Life event in Rockhampton.

Funds raised will be shared between Rotary Club of Rockhampton Fitzroy and the Bike 4 Life Committee. Both organisations are now looking forward to the event proper, scheduled for July.

CQUniversity is a proud sponsor of the 2011 Bike 4 Life event, which is for people of all ages, sizes and abilities.
