Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Choc drive due to support koala research 

CQU staff members have a chance to support koala research by taking part in the CQ Koala Volunteers chocolate drive.

PhotoID:2045 The group has arranged a special koala themed box of macadamia chocolates (150g) to sell at $6 a box.

Order forms will be available around Rockhampton Campus in June with the produce due to arrive in July.

CQ Koala Volunteers is the only group which raises funds for koala research in the CQ region.
