Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Graduate moves into mining and industry PR role 

CQU graduate and staff member Catherine Krezalek is moving on in her career with a role in Communications and PR at MICOMM (Mining and Industry Communications).

PhotoID:3795 "The role sounds like a huge challenge with a lot of hard work and commitment, however I am hoping the experience I gain there will pay off," she says.

Ms Krezalek has completed a Bachelor of Multimedia Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management with CQU and has spent the past 5 years in various roles at University Relations, Student Services and most recenty the Faculty of Business & Informatics. She also worked at the CQU Bookshop while studying.
