Researchers' Room now open

Work is now complete on the new Researchers' Room at the Rockhampton campus library and is open for all to visit and use the facilities.

The room is located on the first floor of the library and is available for group discussion, private study and consultation with librarians. It is a workspace designed and fitted to meet the needs of researchers.

The room contains six networked computers (you will be able to access your personal U:\ drive), with access to a scanner, CD-ROM burner, A3/A4 printer, tables and coffee-making facilities. There is also a whiteboard, Mimeo (which converts a whiteboard into an electronic whiteboard), two laptops and a data projector available. To organise the loan of the laptops, data projector or Mimeo, please ask for assistance from the Information Desk on the first level. The equipment will be loaned as part of your borrowing limit.

Vicki Roberts will be in the Researchers' Room on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm and Thursdays from 11 pm to 1 pm, to assist you with any queries. She is available for assistance outside these hours on (07) 4923 2136.

Vicki is also able to conduct remote tutorials between Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay campus libraries. These one-on-one tutorials are available for any topic in which you can assist you.
