CQUniversity is the joint organiser and a major sponsor for next year's International Engineering and Technology Education Conference (IETEC), to be held in Kuala Lumpur from January 16-19.
Several CQUniversity academics are involved in running the globally-networked event, including general chair Dr Arun Patil, program chair Professor Ken Hawkins, steering committee chair Dr Patrick Keleher, committee members Dr Fae Martin and Dr Amanullah M Than Oo, finance and budgeting co-chair Win Wagner and technical support co-chair Joshua Born.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Professor Scott Bowman has been named as 'honorary chair', alongside counterparts from the in-country joint organisers: Taylor's University College (Malaysia), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (Malaysia) and Universiti Teknologi (Malaysia).
The event will feature significant keynote addresses, plenary presentation sessions (including a special Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate plenary session), interactive workshop tracks, a panel discussion, exhibition stalls and opportunities for international collaborations. The Deputy Director General, Private Higher Education Management Sector, Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia will address the opening ceremony of the conference.
Early bird registration is now open via http://www.ietec.my/index.html
All the accepted double-blind reviewed and presented papers will appear in the IETEC'11 proceedings. Selected papers from the conference will feature in a book to be published by IGI Global, while awarded papers and other selected papers will feature in special issues of the International Journal of Quality Assurance in Engineering and Technology Education (IJQAETE) and the Journal of Engineering Science and Technology (JESTEC).
Dr Arun Patil said CQUniversity was proud to be integrally involved in such an important global event, which should led to future partnership opportunities.
