Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Fitzroy Coastal CRC workshop scheduled

Fitzroy Coastal CRC's Annual Stakeholders Workshop is being conducted from 9.30am-4pm on Monday, November 8, at Dreamtime Cultural Centre's Nola James Building, Rockhampton.

CQU staff or students may be interested in attending.

The program for this event will include; interesting developments from our Phase 2 round of projects, updates from Fitzroy Basin Association (FBA), Local Marine Advisory Committee (LMAC) & GBRMPA, and a youth perspective from local students.
