The farm comes to coast campus

The Working Sheep Dog Show came to CQU Gold Coast to celebrate the new term.

Eric came with his 3 kelpie dogs and 8 sheep and they wowed the audience with their skills.

The dogs demonstrated moving the sheep around the field and into a portable race and yard following both voice and hand signals.

The students were given a commentary as they watched the remarkable natural and trained abilities of these wonderful dogs and their handler.

The audience were able to touch the fleece of the sheep and ask questions about the dogs and sheep; a first-time experience for some students.

The barbecue onion smell drew a huge crowd and added to this Australiana event on campus.
