The new CQU Emerald Campus located at Emerald Agricultural College is hosting two significant events in a week.
The first student and staff orientation at the new location was held this morning (Friday, July 9). The morning event involved a campus tour, welcome addresses, a workplace health and safety induction and a morning tea.
The following Tuesday (July 13, 4pm-8pm), CQU Emerald will host its first major teachers’ professional development workshop, featuring a presentation by education consultant and author Eric Frangenheim. Mr Frangenheim presents workshops in most states in Australia and in New Zealand for schools and the corporate world. His ideas are regularly demonstrated in classrooms.
The CQU Emerald workshop entitled ‘Creating the Thinking Classroom’ will be attended by local teachers and learning management students.
