Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Memorial prize presented at CQU Mackay

CQU Mackay Bachelor of Learning Management student Suzanne Morgan (pictured right) receives the David Faulkner Memorial Prize from Robyn Faulkner at the campus prize-giving ceremony last Friday evening (July 8).

PhotoID:2164 The award is offered to a second-year student who shows technological skill and innovation. It is in memory of Robyn's husband David, a second-year BLM student who passed away last year after a short battle with cancer.

David was known for sharing his technological expertise with other students and could often be found in the computer lab assisting others.
