Sandra Kinsella completed the first summer term of her education degree from Europe while travelling with her family, thanks to her trusty laptop and the flexibility of on-line studies.

The mother of 2 already had plenty of experience juggling study and work, so the idea of writing assignments on the move was not too daunting.

Sandra has recently started as the only Special Ed teacher at Park Ridge Primary in Brisbane and has plenty of relevant job experience to back up her studies.

She has previously worked as a promotions/event co-ordinator for the Endeavour Foundation, as a teacher aide specialising in behaviour support and as an assistant director/group leader in a childcare centre.

Her previous education includes a Diploma of Community Services (Children's Services), completed part-time at TAFE.

Sandra says CQUniversity's Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) degree by external studies provided the flexibility to fit study around work and family commitments, especially as her husband is a shift-worker.

Along with her on-line study buddy Kate Brennan from Far North Queensland, she is among the first to complete this degree externally. [Sandra is hoping to meet Kate face to face for the first time at the CQUniversity graduation in Rockhampton on February 24.]

Sandra has not only been successful in arranging her work, study and family life. She has also achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has gained medals at 2 championships.
