New students welcome at CQU Bundaberg

Monday signals the commencement of a new academic life for about 350 first-year students who will arrive at CQU Bundaberg for Orientation Week.

New students will gain a fun and inspiring introduction to our local campus during the course of the week.

PhotoID:1792 Workshops have been devised to enable students to develop time management, study, email and internet skills needed for a smooth transition into tertiary life. A panel of academic and student support staff will be available to answer any questions students may have.

In addition to hard work, a number of fun events and social activities are available for students to participate in. CQU Bundaberg would like to thank local businesses who have donated their time to enable students to try various activities available from surfing, sailing and diving, to rock ‘n’ roll dance, Aikido and croquet in our Try Before You Die session.

Thanks also to many local businesses for supporting the students’ Grand Auction, traditionally the last activity held during O-Week. Students are rewarded for excellent participation in prescribed activities with “funny money” which they use to bid for goods that have been donated.
