Townsville Dancer Has 'Horror' Start in Beef City
Published on 19 June, 2002
Townsville dancer Holly Headrick has moved to Rockhampton to embark on a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree with Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
One of her first outlets was the inaugural production of Horrors in Rocky, the interactive version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Holly has also worked on the Dance to the Beat show, with professional percussionist Grant Collins, and is looking forward to Vegas Showstoppers.
She will get a chance to catch up with her family when she returns for the Townsville Choral Society production of Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat in late June.
Holly is a former St Margaret Marys student who attended the Anne Roberts Dance School and was a consistent performer in the Townsville Eisteddfod.
She said she chose the BPA course due to the diverse range of performance styles involved. ENDS Captions: Holly Headrick limbers up for her new course .... Holly Headrick (centre front) works with guest percussionist Grant Collins for the Dance With a Beat show.
