Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

All welcome at 'aging and physical activity' talk 

All interested people are welcome at a presentation on 'Aging and physical activity', by CQU's Dr Brendan Humphries, a senior lecturer within the School of Health and Human Performance.

The presentation, part of the Sports Science Series, will be from 7pm on Wednesday, September 20 at CQU Rockhampton\'s building 18, room LG.40. Admission is by gold coin donation.

Dr Humphries lectures in the area of biomechanics. He is involved with the Musculoskeletal Research Unit which has interests in aging and physical activity; development of muscular strength and power; exercise and bone health; and vibration exposure on musculoskeletal performance.
