Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Recognising those who keep our students satisfied

Staff whose courses were in the ‘Top 10' highest scores for Overall Satisfaction and Response Rates in Course Evaluations for Term 3, 2010 were recently recognised.

The coordinators of each of the successful courses were presented with a Certificate of High Achievement and Letter of Congratulations. A broad range of courses were represented.

The new Office of Learning and Teaching website has individual course outcomes and valuable details on the most important themes, as identified by analysis of student comments across all courses.

Feedback indicates that most students are satisfied with the quality of their learning experience.
