Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Best from Belfast and Mackay at CQCM show 

Mackay's 'Irish' dancers will line up with 11 Belfast performers and five from elsewhere in Australia to perform in next week's Harte Quest show at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music Theatre.

Mackay dance teacher Kay Munro is assembling the cream of Mackay's dancers to complement the visitors.

The show contains large formation Riverdance style Irish dancing, modern techno and expressive Irish dancing/ballet style numbers, as well as original music and four original songs.

Harte Quest has received international acclaim and has most recently been staged in Melbourne. ENDS
