American contingent visits Rocky campus

Central Queensland University’s Community Relations department played host to a group of American business people this week during their short visit to Rockhampton.
The group are in Australia as part of a Rotary “World Peace and Understanding” program and to visit professionals in their own fields of endeavour to learn how “things are done down under”.
The group included team leader Rotarian Tim Clark – member of the Hamilton-Wenham Rotary Club, and four non-Rotarian businessmen and women John Viola – Assistant Deputy Commissioner in the Mass Department of Environmental Protection, Maureen Daley – a manager of international book sales and rights, Karen Stockert – head of her own graphic design company firm Stockert Design and Stuart Lustig – a psychiatrist at the Boston Medical Centre. The group’s visit to Rockhampton was lead by local Rotarian, Ray Young.
Recruitment officer Tony Gubbins showed the group through CQU Rockhampton including a tour of the Old Supreme Court building, CQU Rockhampton City. The group was given an insight into the history of the building and its current use.
