Multicultural Fair plans kick off

Preparations for this year’s CQ Multicultural Fair and University Open Day have kicked off with this year’s first committee meeting to be held next week.

PhotoID:594 The Fair will be staged on Sunday 17 August and will focus on “Multiculturalism in the Workplace”.

Coordinator for the Fair Gina Yarrow said she was hoping to attract some exciting new entertainers to the event and would encourage everyone to get involved.

“I encourage all CQU staff and students to get involved in this year’s event in some capacity whether it be as part of their Faculty’s display or through food or craft stalls or entertainment,” Gina said.

“The Fair is the University’s biggest event of the year and provides an opportunity for the public to visit the campus to see what University is all about and to celebrate our country’s multicultural diversity.

A Committee Meeting for the Fair will be held next Thursday, 27 March, from 2 to 3pm in Committee Room B.

Anyone with any interesting ideas for this year’s event is encouraged to attend, along with our committed committee members.
