Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

CQU-based 10,000 Steps has fruitful magazine support 

The CQU-based 10,000 Steps campaign is being promoted via Healthy Food Guide, Australia’s new monthly food magazine.

PhotoID:2421 The first 500 subscribers to the magazine will each receive an official 10,000 Steps Pedometer and logbook valued at $40.

The magazine's website (http://www.healthyfoodguide.com.au/7.htm) notes that: "Research shows that 10,000 steps per day of accumulated walking can lead to significant health benefits.
