CQU co-presents demonstration of new knee surgery technique

CQU's Musculoskeletal Research Unit is co-presenter for live surgery and a workshop symposium on a new ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) technique.
The technique will be demonstrated on Friday, September 8, by German Professor Andreas Imhoff, who is Europe's leading sports orthopaedic surgeon and a world leader in shoulder surgery.
Professor Imhoff is the Director of Orthopaedic Surgey at the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Division at the Technical University of Munich/Germany and the Chairman of the Central Institute of Medical Engineering.
He is associated with 14 Societies and has an involvement with 5 Editorial Boards.
Professor Imhoff is widely published with a total of more than 740 publications.
He will perform live surgery at Rockhampton Hospital and contribute to a workshop on arthroscopic knee surgery in collaboration with CQU's Associate Professor Erik Hohmann, Device Technology and Arthrex.
Following his visit to Rockhampton, Professor Imhoff will travel to Port Douglas as the main speaker for this year's Advances in Knee Surgery Conference.
