Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Melbourne student wins iPod in library survey 

CQU Melbourne International Campus student Velly Vabriany has been presented with an iPod after participating in the CQU Library’s Rodski Survey.

PhotoID:2595 Students were invited to give their opinions in the online survey between August 8 and 21.

The surveys are conducted across all CQU campuses every two years and welcome student’s feedback regarding library resources and services.

All students involved went into a draw to win an iPod. One student from each campus also won an MP3 player, with Sote Suangsomboon claiming the prize in Melbourne.
