Gladstone gets to know campus

Local business people and educators new to the Gladstone region will be given the opportunity to learn more about their local university campus at a familiarisation visit to be held later this month.

Gladstone Head of Campus, Associate Professor Robert Prater said the familiarisation visit was a regular event held by Central Queensland University’s Gladstone campus.

“The visit includes a tour of the campus and talks from faculty and research centre staff. “We aim to give our visitors an overview of CQU and what happens at CQU Gladstone as this understanding fosters a productive working relationship with our local business and educational partners,” Mr Prater said.

This year there will be three familiarisation visits held throughout the year on Wednesday April 13, Wednesday July 20 and Wednesday October 19 all starting at 9.30am.

Anyone interested in attending a visit should contact the Gladstone Community Relations Officer, Shannon Law by e-mailing s.law@cqu.edu.au or phoning 4970 7247.
