These awards were introduced in recognition of Dr Martand Joshi's contribution, not only to the staff and students of CQUniversity and CMS, but to the national and international education sectors and the general community.
The 2010 Student Award ($1000 plus certificate) was presented by family members Zofia Joshi and Suman Joshi to recognise the highest achieving graduates of 2009. It was shared by Master of Information Systems student Krishan and Master of Information Technology student Ujwala.
The 2010 Staff Award ($1000 towards attendance at an approved conference) recognised CMS staff members Susan Loomes (State Director NSW) and Dr Alison Owens (Senior Research Associate), who have contributed to research into International Education via CQUniversity's International Education Research Centre (IERC).
