A feast of Glenn Miller in Mackay

Join the Mackay Library Society and the Friends of the Conservatorium this Friday evening May 26 from 7.30pm, for an audio and visual feast for Glenn Miller fans and music lovers of all sorts.
Held in the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM) Theatre, the evening will include musical performances by one of the CQCM’s jazz bands, ‘A Train’ and the screening of ‘The Glenn Miller Story”, starring James Stewart and June Allyson.
The film, produced in 1953, was originally filmed in black and white, but will be shown in glorious Technicolor on the night.
After the concert, patrons are invited to enjoy a feast of hotdogs and apple pie.
Tickets are $15 Adults, $10 Concession and $5 Students/children with all proceeds raised going toward the purchase of music and other items for the CQCM students.
