Two songbirds from the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music have sung the praises of the Mackay region as part of the 3-day 'Queensland on Show' event in Melbourne earlier in August.
CQU had a sponsored presence at the event and the Mackay Whitsunday Regional Economic Development Corporation sponsored the Con students to sing at the opening and during the event.

CQCM students Roxanne Powell and Sophie Phillis helped put a spotlight on what Mackay has to offer for people and businesses.
The 'Queensland on Show' exhibition is held to educate and encourage workers and businesses about the lifestyle and company potential in the Mackay region.
A pre-exhibition meet and greet was held at Commerce Queensland at the Mackay Marina and was attended by representatives of Mackay City Council, Mackay Tourism, MAIN co-operative, Morvale, precision Employees Resources, Mr Rentals and CQU Mackay.
Regional Economic Development Corporation (REDEC) chief executive officer Narelle Pearse said that the Melbourne skills exhibition showcased the whole of Queensland.
Ms Pearse said that along with the pair of student singers, other students from CQU had contributed to a massive photographic backdrop that highlighted the beauty of the area.
"We just want to highlight the lifestyle here and the benefits of moving to the region" she said.
