Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Postgraduate Wins Best Paper Award

Flavio Coelho, a postgraduate student in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Systems at the Gladstone Campus, has received international recognition for a paper he presented to the International Conference on ISO9000 and TQM.

Voting covering all sessions and all delegates voted the paper as the best in Flavio's stream. It received this acknowledgement on the basis of its presentation, new content/originality and interest.

The Conference was held at RMIT and was research-oriented in the field of Quality Systems.
