Library Society film night attracts crowd

Around 70 community members gathered to view 'The Rage in Placid Lake' during the first CQU Mackay Library Society Film night for 2005.

'The Rage in Placid Lake' is about a teenage boy struggling to deal with his childhood taunts and being bullied as a result of his mother sending him to school wearing a dress.

“The film night was a fabulous turnout with a wide variety of community members attending. We received positive feedback from all. It was a great way to start the year,” Shelley Dent, Mackay Campus Librarian said.

The next Library Society Film night will be held on Friday, March 4, and the film feature will be 'Twin Sister'.
