Final free jazz concert for 2003

More than 1000 people are expected to attend the final Jazz in the Park event on the Mackay City Council lawns on October 5.

PhotoID:924 A variety of Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music jazz groups will entertain the crowds from 3-5pm.

CQCM events co-ordinator Bernadette Howlett said the warmer weather provided an ideal atmosphere for the event.

“There will be approximately 35 CQCM students and CQCM staff performing throughout the afternoon, so lovers of jazz should make the most of the longer sunny days and relax while enjoying quality entertainment,” she said.

PhotoID:925 This is the third and final performance in the series of three free concerts supported by Mackay City Council, ABC Radio Tropical North and CQCM. Artspace and Foodspace will be opened throughout the event.
