Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Gladstone researcher's 'outstanding' plaudit 

International journal publisher Emerald Group has presented an 'Outstanding Paper Award' to CQUniversity Gladstone researcher Gopinath Chattopadhyay.

Dr Chattopadhyay was proud to receive the honour for his paper (with Sweden-based Aditya Parida) on the 'Development of a multi-criteria hierarchical framework for maintenance performance measurement'.

He continues his research in the area of rail wheel maintenance and asset management as Associate Professor in Industrial Asset Management under the Centre for Railway Engineering (CRE) and the Process Engineering and Light Metals (PELM) Centre and as Director of Engineering Postgraduate Studies.
