Meanwhile, staff and students are also welcome at the QREX Hypothetical - What Happens if Coal Mining Stops Now? - from 5.30pm on Thursday, May 24, at the Rockhampton Showgrounds Grandstand.
Entry is free of charge and registrations can be made via: http://www.qrex.com.au/program/hypothetical/
A diverse panel of people, all experts in their own area, will give their views on the hypothetical situation of what would happen if coal mining stopped now. This will give a challenging insight into the thoughts of others in the Australian community whose activities will be majorly impacted upon by the various scenarios.
This discussion will be informative as well as thought provoking. It will expose the audience to a range of differing views regarding merits and challenges resulting from coal production.
