Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Photographers, photoshop exponents and animators sought 

Entries have been extended to August 3 for the Rockhampton-based Digital Animation and Photographic Art (DAPA) competition.

The event offers $100 prizes in nine categories, under the theme: ‘United through diversity, we laugh’.

DAPA aims to provide an understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism through the arts and is run in conjunction with the CQ Multicultural Fair and CQU Rockhampton Open Day (to be held on Sunday, August 14).
