CQUniversity much more than a fresh face

Now known as CQUniversity Australia, the institution can offer much more than a fresh face thanks to a comprehensive makeover.

The makeover follows 2 years of significant overhauls at the University brought on by sector-wide changes in the demand for courses and programs.

"What we're really announcing is a different way of operating and doing business," said Vice-Chancellor Professor Rickard.

"As such, the change to CQUniversity goes to the core of the University's values as an open, adaptive, can-do organisation focused on its students and customers".

CQUniversity is perhaps best known in Townsville due to the reputation of the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music based at the Mackay Campus.

But it can offer plenty of other options throughout its campus and course delivery network, which also includes Emerald, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Noosa, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne.

Among CQUniversity's strengths are its expanded line-up of alternative pathway programs, offering better access to university than any other institution in Queensland, and its tradition of distance education and flexible delivery.

The University is also providing customised programs designed for adult learners working full-time in industry, such as the mining sector, and delivering uni-level courses to Grade 10, 11 and 12 Queensland high school students.

CQUniversity has plenty to offer across the areas of business, including hospitality, financial planning and property degrees It has a range of creative and performing arts options, as well as one of Australia's most renowned suites of education (learning management) degrees.

The institution has forged a reputation for engineering, mining and science programs and its IT options include digital innovation and aviation technology.

Health and recreation degrees lead to great career pathways and there are also options across the humanities and social sciences (including communication) and environmental management.
