Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Yummy role for music theatre graduate 

CQU music theatre graduate Laura Morrisey, 20, is playing the female lead role of Yum Yum in the Toowoomba Choral Society's production of 'The Mikado'.

According to The Courier Mail, Laura was only eight years old when she began her stage career with the choral society.

Her singing ability won her a place in the Queensland Youth Choir.

'The Mikado' is the 50th anniversary production for the choral society.
