Engaging Indigenous people within Higher Ed

CQUniversity's Office of Indigenous Engagement recently hosted a visit from the Oodgeroo Unit of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), at Rockhampton Campus.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of the Oodgeroo Unit, and Lone Pearce, Project Officer, met with Office of Indigenous Engagement staff to discuss employment issues and best practice models for engaging Indigenous people within the higher education sector, including governance matters.

Women invited to test physical activity prescriptions 

Rockhampton district women are invited to help test 2 physical activity prescriptions, to help with a research project at Central Queensland University.

Dr Mitch Duncan is keen to hear from women aged 35-60 who are currently doing no or little physical activity.

Those participating will complete all activity in their own time and only attend a testing session at the University at the beginning and end of the project.

Participants will be asked to complete either the 10,000 Steps/day program or a 30-minutes daily activity program.
