Shaye says she plans to change over to study Financial Planning while continuing to work part-time at Whitson Dawson accountants in Mackay.
"I have high career aspirations. I want to work overseas in financial planning somewhere like London and I eventually want to own my own firm or work in a leadership role such as CEO.
"I want to be a role model for women in leadership and business," she said.
"With Uni and work it's hard to find time for extracurricular activities. I go to the gym, play sport with work and paint when I have time."
Shaye says she was shocked to receive the scholarship.
"I never thought I would get it! I guess it just encourges everyone to apply as you don't know who will get it."
