Tropical rain eases heat at CQU Mackay's Gone Troppo O'Week

Rain has once again signalled the beginning of Orientation Week activities at Central Queensland University Mackay.

This year’s Gone Troppo theme has proved popular, with staff and students wearing tropical attire complete with colourful leis. O’Week co-ordinator Jocelyn Wood said over 410 students crammed lecture theatres and attended educational sessions in preparation for commencing formal studies. “Judging from the laughter coming from the lecture theatres, the staff have been able to get their messages across to students in a creative manner,” she said.
