CQU prominent at sports medicine event

CQU School of Health and Human Performance (HHP) staff were prominent during the recent Sports Medicine Australia 2003 Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport.
HHP Biomechanist Adam Bryant received the British Journal of Sports Medicine Award for Best Clinical Sports Medicine Poster for his paper "Is tibial acceleration related to knee functionality in ACL deficient and ACL reconstructed patients?".
HHP Associate Professor Kerry Mummery was an invited speaker, session chair and panelist on debates and symposia.
HHP Adjunct Associate Professor and Orthopedic Surgeon, Eric Hohmann chaired a session.
HHP Head of School Peter Reaburn was elected as Vice President (Sport Sciences) of the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS) and invited onto the AAESS 2004 National Conference organising committee.
HHP staff and postgraduates presented eight papers and more than 10 per cent of the 82 posters at the conference.
