Students and staff at CQU Gladstone campus now have the services of an on-campus Chaplain thanks to support from the local Uniting Church.
Reverend Lorna Martin and two church elders will soon begin weekly visits to the Gladstone campus to provide emotional and spiritual support to students and staff.
Rev Matin said the Chaplaincy program aimed to provide individual faith guidance and to raise awareness of life and social justice issues.
“Sometimes it is nice to be able to talk about life issues with someone from outside the university.
“Our services are provided for all regardless of religious affiliations and I look forward to meeting everyone,” Rev Martin said.
Rev Martin will be on campus every Tuesday during term time from 12-2pm. Students can leave a message for the Reverend on 49707254.
