With the Trial Audit of Melbourne and Sydney international campuses now complete, preparations are being finalised for the audit visit to Rockhampton Campus next week.

Information sessions have been conducted (go to http://streaming.cqu.edu.au/staff/quality/ to view the online video), the interview schedule is finalised and the participants are being confirmed.

The Trial Audit is being undertaken as a ‘dry run’ for the AUQA Audit, which will occur in October 2005.

The audit will investigate the extent to which CQU is achieving its mission and objectives; assessing the adequacy of quality assurance arrangements in the key areas of teaching and learning, research and management, including the institution’s overseas activities. The audit reports are published on the AUQA website, and therefore are public documents which could have an effect on the reputation of the University.

The Trial Audit Panel are following the AUQA process, and interviewing a range of staff, students and other stakeholders of the University to test the Trial Performance Portfolio, and will then report on the standard of quality assurance processes at CQU.
