Dr Gupta delivered a paper co-authored with 2 colleagues from RMIT University.  The paper proposed a conceptual framework for evaluating the adoption of e-market for e-business in small and medium-sized enterprises in Australia.

The conceptual framework is built on a comprehensive analysis of existing research in e-markets, in particular with relation to the value drivers and the critical success factors for adopting e-market in businesses.
